Face, Eyes, and Mouth Protection:

Don’t forget to protect your child's face, eyes, mouth, and jaw when your child is playing softball.  It is much easier to prevent an injury than to repair it when it comes to facial and oral injuries.  At a minimum, all players should wear a mouthguard.  Custom mouth guards protect significantly better than over the counter ones and are much more comfortable.  When your child sees his/her dentist before the season starts ask to have them assist you in obtaining your mouthguard.  Many dentist offices carry mouth guards.

Facemasks for Infielders

Infielders and pitchers may wish to consider wearing an infielders mask.  These masks help limit facial injuries during practices and games.
